A recent report from the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) showed that veterans enrolled in home-based telehealth care receive higher quality care at a lower cost compared to those receiving traditional in-office care. Morrisville, NC (October 07, 2014) – Philips Healthcare and Zoll Medical have both been selected to supply airworthy critical care defibrillators to the Defense Logistics Agency, a group tasked with providing superior medical equipment to American military forces worldwide. With 5-year term contracts, Zoll and Phillips may receive a maximum of $39.8 million and $27.4 million, respectively. This is not the first time these organizations have been awarded large DoD contracts as both received similar contracts back in 2009.
