Water for Life

Did you know that 1 in 4 people worldwide don’t have a safe, reliable water source? This heartbreaking statistic highlights the fundamental reason that the SunTech team, along with our parent company Halma and its subsidiaries, have been diligently working to raise resources and funds to help combat the global water crisis. As a part of these efforts, SunTech has held raffles, hosted silent auctions and conducted community-wide cleanup projects to aid us in achieving our goals. Our community is off to a strong start, having raised 78% of our $1,740 goal ($1,370) so far. This is a fantastic feat, and we believe that we can reach our goal with continued dedication and diligent awareness efforts. To donate, please visit our JustGiving page.

To fully understand the impact of this campaign and better empathize with the widespread effects of this issue, you must first understand that “Water for Life” does not just imply providing drinking water to sustain life. In fact, we often take for granted the many other life necessities that require clean water: the ability to clean, rinse and sterilize products, places and produce, the ability to cook, perform medical procedures and even utilize resources such as mining and irrigation. We are aiming to provide a pipe network of safe and accessible water, to restore safe water sources, support water conservation efforts and promote better hygiene practices.

Over the past year, to help improve global access to clean water and the necessities listed above, we have partnered with WaterAid. An international not-for-profit, determined to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere within a generation. Many scholars predict that good hygiene, which is enabled by clean water, is the most cost-effective way to promote preventative healthcare and combat disease; therefore, SunTech views this campaign as an opportunity to not only aid in the conquest for clean water, but also promote values and features that resonate with our mission to improve healthcare for everyone.
