SunTech Medical Sponsors 2010 ANNA Cardinal Chapter Education Session

SunTech Medical, Inc. is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the American Nephrology Nurses’ Association’s Cardinal Chapter.  An educational session to cover “The Management of Hypertension in Patients with Kidney Disease” presented by Dr. Michael Casey of Wake Nephrology Associates will be held at UNC’s Friday Center on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 6:00 P.M. with two additional interactive video conference locations at Bowman Grey Medical School and Fayetteville Technical Community College.

Nephrologists routinely use Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM), considered the gold standard in providing an overall blood pressure profile, to assess the treatment of hypertension in patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).  Additionally, ABPM is often used for donor screening.

Dayn McBee, CEO of SunTech Medical, states “SunTech is pleased to support this cause in an effort to further involve ourselves in the advancement of clinical grade blood pressure monitoring techniques and awareness.”

The mission of ANNA is to advance nephrology nursing practice and positively influence outcome for individuals with kidney disease.  ANNA has a membership of over 11,000 health care professionals.
