Suntech Medical is seeking a positive problem-solver with international medical device financial leadership experience. The company is seeking an experienced and forward thinking individual to fill the role of Vice President of Finance.

As a key member of the Executive Team, the Vice President of Finance (VP) will direct and manage all aspects of the finance and administration functions for the company on a global basis, as well as, being a member of the Board. This role works closely with the CEO and other members of the Executive Team to develop and implement the business strategy approved by the Board and ensure its delivery through strong operational management, sound fiduciary financial controls and clear leadership.

Duties:

The VP provides strategic input, direction and guidance on all financial, taxation, and IT matters and ensures that the company’s books and records (including subsidiary companies) are properly maintained and appropriate statutory, financial and management reports and returns are produced to required timeframes and formats. The VP performs financial planning & analysis functions including strategic planning, competitive analysis, budgeting, forecasting and operational analyses. Also, maintains internal control systems for the company, reviews, revises, implements and/or modifies financial checks and balances with a high degree of involvement and meticulous attention to detail. This role is responsible for providing a proactive support service to the CEO and Executive Team in relation to all financial, administrative and legal matters. The VP works with the CEO and other team members on all new projects and business ventures (including possible acquisitions and divestitures), manages and directs Accounting, Payroll, and IT functions for the company and acts as deputy to the CEO.

Qualifications

To qualify, candidates must have prior senior line management experience, a CPA or MBA, and a minimum 10 years of progressive work experience. International finance experience and a working knowledge of companies in similar growth stages are preferred. Sound, and current, technical knowledge in all financial related areas and thorough understanding of current IT technologies, along with prior experience of managing these functions, are required. Ability and wiliness to travel worldwide (at least 5%) are a must. Must be proactive, creative, and have the ability to combine a ‘hands-on’ operational approach while making significant strategic contributions. Effective communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people are essential.
